Mentoring Children Cooperatively - MC2

MC2 is a quality group of hard-working moms and kids who come together to enhance our individual homeschooling experiences. This co-op is successful simply because everyone involved works together to insure its success. We teach and mentor and encourage and even vacuum together. We have made some life-long friendships along the way, too, sharing mutual concerns and triumphs, laughs and frustrations.

MC2 encourages all its members to use their particular gifts. Do you have a passion for Art or for Science? Then you have something to teach us. Do you have a passion for Photography or Crafting? Then you have something that others will want to learn. We use our strengths collectively to create a strong group dynamic, all to equip our kids to learn and love learning. Students also focus on their gifts, choosing classes based on their learning abilities instead their age group and on desire instead of duress.

From teenagers to toddlers, experienced homeschoolers to new, we have a place for everyone. Who knows what need we have that you will fill? It's an exciting prospect, so roll up your sleeves and come be a part. We're sure you'll be blessed as we have been blessed.

We meet on Fridays for two semesters during the year: 10 weeks in the Fall and 15 in the Spring. The Mid Cities church hosts us at their building. Just one fee of $50 registers your whole family for the entire year. For information about how to join, send an email to sandismith6@att.net or stipto@sbcglobal.net.

Morning Glory Academy

In our collaborative school model, we provide your child with part-time instruction, group interaction, guided discussions, individual and group projects, and many opportunities to learn with us and at home under your supervision.  We partner with you, and our part-time hours are designed to allow flexibility in your schedule for students to complete assignments and participate in other family activities.  We want our homeschooled children to remain home-centered, yet be able to enjoy interaction with other students and homeschooling teacher-parents.

It's the best of both worlds!

Classes meet on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday mornings from 9:00am - 12:30pm for three 10-week trimesters per year. Subects include World History, Literature/Language Arts, Math, and Science.  For more information, visit www.themga.org or send an email to Leslie@themga.org.
